Had a lovely mid-week Christmas dinner. Huge portions for starters and mains. Good hearty food well cooked and presented. Also a mid-summer lunch. Traditional pub food. Portions still large. Eton mess and rhubarb mess served like Knickerbocker glories!

Too often in my experience, people in the business of service and serving customers simply ignore the basics of good customer service. That is not the case with The Butcher’s Arms! Jackie couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. Also, happy for me to taste a couple of ales before. We had lunch. My wife had the meat ploughmans which was delicious and plentiful - we ended up taking some of the meat home. I had the fish and chips, the fish was perfectly cooked. Great value for money. Highly recommended and we will be back.
